If Little Rock, Arkansas is on the way to someplace you are already booked for,

wouldn't it be nice to pick up some extra gas money via a gig at Studio Joe?

Studio Joe is a relatively-new coffeehouse, [St.Patrick's Day 2008 was its First Anniversary]
smoke free, that is looking for musicians in all genres who are willing to bet on a better mousetrap.

The main room is approximately 35 by 35 feet, and seats 65 comfortably.

From Marc's LJ posting about the GenCon trip: The only downside for the weekend was the Lonnnnnng drive. Oh! But at least up there it went great. We played in Little Rock, Arkansas to a fantastic audience. I'm hoping we'll be making more trips there in the future.

The secret weapon (aside from co-owner Rob Barrow’s cheese dip)
is that Dave Shurgar, the other co-owner, has wired the room to a fare-the-well:
recent upgrades to the sound system will handle more performers than the stage will really hold.

There is also a recording studio you can make arrangements with Dave about,
if you’ve got something polished enough that you want to capture it on a studio-grade master.

You can even record in the main room with Live Audience Participation now
(either at a scheduled concert or with a Stunt Audience provided by you).
The Macintosh-driven studio features Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Propellorhead Reason,
GarageBand, Peak Pro, and Soundsoap Pro.

Since it has only been open a little more than a year, Studio Joe is still building its audience.
Rather than offering a guaranteed fee for an evening’s music, the owners offer performers
a generous share of the gate receipts.

Experience is showing that Monday is not a good concert-going night for Little Rock music audiences, but the  rest of the week is available, and the Open Mic nights on Tuesdays & Wednesdays can be pre-empted.

Besides booking you into Studio Joe, I can provide information on nearby motels, nearby eateries
(there is a huge range of fast, sit-down, and all-night food places to pick-from-among within a mile of the coffeehouse, if you don't happen to have your teeth up for one of the burgers on the menu)
and if you have CD’s to sell and are traveling alone I can recruit a responsible person
who Will Work For Concert Admission to run your sales table.
I’ll even provide the table.
